With over 30 years’ experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry, Dr. Brett Mudford is the founder of 29 North Energy Consulting. Brett holds a Master’s in Mathematical Physics from Waikato University (New Zealand) and, in 1984, completed a doctorate in Physics at the University of Oxford (U.K.), bringing a strong mathematical background to 29 North Energy Consulting. He started his career in the geosciences as a basin modeler for the Geological Survey of Canada before moving to the United States to join Unocal Corporation in 1990. Since 1996 he has worked in the fields of risk and decision analysis, asset valuation and energy economics with Halliburton, Constellation Energy, Macquarie and, most recently, Castleton Commodities International.
Nicola Hubbard D.Phil.
General Manager
Has over 30 years’ experience in project management and research. Nicola obtained her doctorate in Prehistoric Archaeology from the University of Oxford (U.K.) in 1986. Her work has focused on the reconstruction of paleoclimates and the effects of changing climate on resource distribution and human adaptation. Prior to joining 29 North Energy Consulting, Nicola taught at St. Mary’s University and then at California State University - Fullerton. Following this, Nicola ran her own consulting firm, Greenstone Geoscience, in Texas from 1995 until 2007.
