OUR EXPERIENCE

As principal consultant at 29 North Energy, Dr. Brett Mudford has evaluated and screened assets in most major shale plays in North America including the Barnett, Woodford, Fayetteville, Haynesville, Marcellus, Eagle Ford, Bakken, Montney, and Niobrara shales, the Permian Basin and the SCOOP and STACK plays of Oklahoma. He has also evaluated conventional assets in many basins in the US and Canada, the North Sea, West Africa and Southeast Asia; and Coalbed Methane (CBM) assets in a variety of US CBM plays.

Dr. Mudford has also developed and delivered short courses on risk analysis, stochastic economic modeling, E&P Portfolio Analysis and fiscal regime modeling. These courses have been taught more than 50 times to groups from over 20 different Upstream Exploration and Production companies.

Consulting clients have included BP, Mobil, Shell, Anadarko, Burlington, Kerr McGee, Marathon, Nuevo, Phillips, Pan Canadian, Perez Companc, Pioneer, Unocal, PdVSA, PEMEX and Pertamina; with work done on topics such as acquisition analysis, integrated technical and economic asset evaluation, project economics, lease sale bids, investment structures, international Production Sharing Contracts, and portfolio analysis.
